ALL GOLD Monthly Bullet Journal Spread
Hello friends, Adrienne from @studio80design here today to share an ALL GOLD monthly bullet journal spread tutorial! I love using gold in my journal and thought it would be fun to create an entire spread using just that color!
Materials you'll need:
- Archer and Olive A5 Signature Dot Grid Notebook
- Gold Jelly Roll Pen
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Eraser
Step 1
The first thing I do is sketch out with pencil what my layout will look like in my Dot Grid Notebook. I'm leaving room at the top and bottom of my pages and putting the calendar boxes in the center. "August" will go on the left where there is a break in the boxes. Having an idea where everything will go is super helpful to keep it organized and make changes, if necessary!
Step 2
Now that you've gotten all the pieces sketched where they're going to go, it's time to start inking them in! I used my ruler and gold Jelly Roll Pen to draw in all the boxes for the month of August. Then I wrote in the numbers for the days in the upper right corner of each box. Make sure you step back and let everything dry, gel pens take slightly longer to dry than regular pens!
Step 3
Next I'm going to use my gold Jelly Roll Pen to add lettering in my monthly bullet journal spread! Start by writing out "August" in a mono-line. Then go back and add thickness to the downstrokes on each letter to add some weight. This is called faux-calligraphy and it's super easy and fun to do!
Step 4
The last step is to draw in gold flowers and leaves with the gel pen! I drew in modern florals at the top and bottom of the pages I left blank before. I didn't worry about adding too much detail in the flowers, sometimes it's fun to keep them simple and clean! Erase any extra pencil marks with a small eraser, and be careful not to smudge your ink!
Thanks so much for visiting today! I hope you enjoyed this all gold monthly bullet journal spread in my Archer and Olive Dot Grid Notebook! For more inspiration like this, make sure to follow me @studio80design!
