Hey again! It’s Hayley here (@hayleyremdeart on Instagram), and today I want to give you some tips and inspiration to creating a simple floral bullet journal theme. This theme was completely inspired by the amazing @supermassiveblackink on Instagram, so make sure to go check them out!!

While I usually use a lot of paint and go very decorative with my set ups, this month was just too busy for that. I think we all have some months that are busier than others, but that doesn't mean our set ups can't be pretty! I don't know about you but I always use my journal more when it is. So keep reading to see more.

Everything You Need To Create A Simple Floral Theme:

• Archer and Olive Journal – As always, it will be no surprise to you that this is my pick. The lovely and thick pages have no bleeding or ghosting, so you get a clean start for every project spread! Also, it means you can decorate the spread without worrying about it.
• Pencil – to carefully plan out your ideas so you can make sure your spread has everything you need.
• Pen – I love the Unipin fineliners and they’re affordable and have lots of nib sizes.
• Decorative Touch (optional) – This could be anything from stamps to acrylographs, or of course, nothing! I usually like to add a personal touch to my spreads so they’re more fun to use and look at.

Cover Page

First up, I always like to include a cover page that ties into my theme. So for the theme I decided to repeat these simple poppies (again inspired by @supermassiveblackink on Instagram, so do go check them out). And of course I like to include the month as a title. This was so quick and simple!

Finances

Next up I always like to include a finances page. Want to start tracking your finances? Check out this blog to see why and how! 

Habit Tracker 

One thing I've been trying out again is a habit tracker. I find that I can easily get behind on filling these in, so I went really simple. For most habits all I need to do is mark in a dot for completed. I also included some extra data for my health which I am most interested in tracking at the moment. Overall this simple layout meant I filled in the tracker the whole month!

Overview

Another spread I love to include is an overview spread. This lets me easily see the current and upcoming two months at a glance. I find this much more useful than just seeing the one month, as if there is anything big coming up I can start planning and thinking about it sooner. It's also a great place to put a more detailed look of the months than you can fit into your future log.

Weeklies

And of course week need weeklies!

I like to keep this tied into the theme, but also have a little more fun with them as I make them week to week. That way I can change them up to my needs.

Masterlist

And finally, the most important spread of the month (in my opinion!) - the masterlist. This is a place to put down ALL your tasks in one spread is you can see everything you need to do for the month. I particularly like to ladd in the big tasks in sections, with an 'Other' section for all the odd jobs you think up as you go. If you get one idea to try from this blog, try the masterlist!
