Back To School Doodle Tutorial For Your School Bullet Journal Spreads
Hey guys, Masha here from Masha Plans.
By now you probably already know how crazy I am with doodling, since I’ve already created loads of posts with doodling tutorials.
And this one is just one more of these posts!
Back to school season is probably my favorite time of the year - stationery is everywhere, a lot of excitement and a feeling of a new beginning in the middle of the year!
I haven’t been in school forever but I still get overly excited each year.
So of course I had to create a post with back to school doodles, especially since I used them to create my August Bullet Journal setup.
SUPPLIES
Here are some of my favorite supplies for doodling:
- A journal. My top pick for doodling is a square journal by Archer and Olive. Love how perfect the square shape is.
- A notepad. If you don’t want to use a journal, my second favorite recommendation is a notepad. I’m super in love with my Archer and Olive notepads and love every extra way I can use it.
- Fineliners. These are my must haves when it comes to doodling. My current obsession is Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pens.
- Colored pens and markers. It’s totally fine if you want to do it in black and white, but if you want to do color you’ll probably need some markers. My favorites are definitely Zebra Mildliners.
If you decide to get anything from Archer and Olive by the way, you can get 10% off your order with my affiliate code MASHA10. A sweet discount for you and a huge support for me.
Always remember though these are kind of just my recommendations, you can doodle with whatever you have in your collection!
BACK TO SCHOOL DOODLES
There are so many things you can doodle for this topic!! Stationery is definitely one of my favorite doodling things. Let’s get to it then.
These are totally my go-to doodles when it comes to stationery.
They are pretty basic, but it’s classic and can be used in so many situations! Most often you can see them on my sketchnotes or “About Me” pages.
I had to think more about different stationery to doodle, and it was definitely a good exercise in pushing myself out of my usual box.
Always remember that you can use the same doodle but try doing it in different styles or using different colors and it will have a completely unrecognizable look.
Finally this is a page with more fun doodles, that you can actually watch me create in a Doodle With Me video below.
DOODLE WITH ME VIDEO
Here we are and you can check out how to doodle some of the stuff above in this doodle with me video.
I must say my tutorials look a bit better than some of these doodles, since I’m much better at doodling when I can have my head right over the journal, instead of staying straight to stay away from the camera.
FREE PRINTABLE
Of course here is your free printable, as always with the doodling posts this is a little worksheet to train your “back to school” themed doodles.
Check the doodles on the left and use the space on the right to repeat those yourself.
Share with us your “back to school” doodles and tag me @mashaplans and @archerandolive on Instagram, we would love to see your creations.
Keep Bullet Journaling and Don’t Be A Blob!
