Scrapbooking Theme In Your Bullet Journal
Hey! @hayleyremdeart here, and today I want to share with you one of my favourite bullet journal themes from this year. The theme was kind of a twist on a scrapbooking theme, with a few architecture drawings too. It was really fun to play around with different types of paper, and use different pen colours to ensure the sketches stood out. To get some inspiration for layouts, keep on reading!
Recommended Supplies:
- Journal – As always, it will be no surprise to you that my pick is the Archer and Olive Journal. The lovely and thick pages have no bleeding or ghosting, so you get a clean start for every project spread! Also, it means you can decorate the spread without worrying about it.
- Pencil – To carefully plan out your ideas so you can make sure your spread has everything you need.
- Fineliners – My favourites are the Unipin fineliners as they’re waterproof, affordable and have a strong nib.
- Scrap Paper – This can be any decorative/patterned paper you have laying around!
Cover
For the cover, I really wanted to go with a gothic-style window. To make it a little different, I layered the paper over each other, using black ink on the craft paper, and white in on the black and patterned paper.
Finances
I always need to include a finances spread! As it's such a simple spread, it was really fun to tie in with the theme.
Monthly
Monthlies are a page I love to go all out with! This one had to be the most detailed sketch of the month, and I love how it worked with the diagonal monthly log!
Habit Tracker
This has to be one of my favourite spreads of the month. It was so good to use the scrap bits of paper and the overall effect is stunning! It's also really easy to make!
Weeklies
For this month I tried out quite a few different layouts, here are my favourites:
This diagonal weekly was really fun to set up and use.
This set up is my go-to layout. It's super useful and I'm always productive on weeks I use it. It also leaves room for a quote!
Finally, this layout was something to really have fun with the layered paper effect.
Quote Page
Scrapbooking quotes are one of my favourite things to add in my journal! To read more on this I actually wrote a blog about this here.
Masterlist
And finally, I always need to include a masterlist to keep me on track for the month. I love the architecture illustration on this one!
Flip Through
I really enjoyed this month, here's how it turned out:
