12 Creative Themes For Kraft Journals

by Guest Blogger 07 Apr 2021 0 Comments

Hi friends! It’s Missy Briggs again. You can find me on Instagram @missybriggs and missybriggs.com. Today I’d love to share some inspiring kraft journal layouts. Maybe you haven’t considered a kraft journal before, but the option to use white, black and any color ink on it is so exciting. Every color shows up really well! I particularly love the way white ink just pops on the kraft journal.

Let’s take a peek at some really creative layouts. Scroll all the way to the bottom for a video and a free printable. These kraft journal ideas are in no particular order, but two of them are mine!

This Peloton tracking page is a perfect example of keeping track of those hours (or minutes if it were me) of output.

 2. Mood tracker: @just_one_more_notebook

What’s your mood been like this month? I love this neutral-tone color scheme page by @just_one_more_notebook for leaning into the earth tones that compliment the kraft journal. So chic!

 3. Gratitude journal: @missybriggs

This weekly gratitude tracking page designed by me shows off the drama of an all black and white theme on a kraft page.

 4. Pen test page: @mashaplans

Testing out all the pens is a must. This one shows off every color of the rainbow and how it looks against the kraft journal. So beautiful!

5. Washi Swatch page: @doyousalut

Marsha captured an entire collection of washi tapes and creatively swatched them into her coffee doodles. This is a great way to see how favorite washi tapes will look on your kraft journal.

6. Personal playlist page: @menwhobullet

The monthly personal playlist is an imaginative way to track the music that keeps you motivated. This monochromatic spread is a retro-cool throwback design too!

7. Gift guide: @elizabethturn

The glamour of metallic gold ink on kraft is everything! This showstopping spread is so festive for the holidays but can also be translated into year-round tracking for all your gift-giving!

8. Finance tracking: @littlemissrose

This perfectly dotted and hand lettered design by Rose makes personal spending way more interesting! Keeping track of those numbers is so key!

9. Weekly spread: @happy_skull_planner

weekly planner theme Kraft journal

This weekly spread is a perfect example of how just a couple colors can pop and make your kraft journal look brighter than a black or white page journal.

10. Sketch journal: @kraftybujo

Who says the dot journal cannot be used as a sketchbook? I love to use my dot journals for both sketching and journaling. This Disney Pixar Wall-E themed sketch is just adorable and brings a little tear to my eye.

11. Monthy spread: @mrsk_plans

Another great example of how black and white ink plus a themed sticker set can explode with detail against the kraft journal background. This bee-theme is so sweet!

12. Future tracker: @missybriggs

Only white ink! And a little black and gray.

I’d love to share a free downloadable of some high contrast headers. The printable is black on a white background, but you can also easily trace these designs onto your journal and use white ink like in the video below:

I cannot wait to see your kraft journal themes inspired by these ideas! Make sure you tag me or the original artist if you post a similar creation. We would love to see your kraft bujo or sketchbook.
